Fiesta DC 2014

Just a few shots for the fun of it

Story by DESI Studios September 23rd, 2014

The District

This past weekend we took a stroll in DC. Now that the summer weather has broken, walking around downtown is bearable again! We figured we do a loop past the White House and through the mall… then a little birdie (pictured below) told us that Fiesta DC 2014 was going on.

The Festival

The 43rd annual Fiesta DC - the largest Latino festival in the DC area. This is one of the things we love about DC… all of the different cultures that we get to enjoy. Unfortunately, we missed the parade, but thankfully we didn’t miss the food!

It's a Party!

Besides the food (did I say we had yummy pupusas?) there was live music, street performers and many interesting characters. Although we didn’t stay too long it looked like a good time was being had by all.

Potus?

After leaving the Fiesta, we finished our walk on the Mall before heading home. We think we even saw the President roll through heading to the White House… but the tint is too dark on those black suburbans to tell for certain - how about a photo next time Mr. President? Cool architecture, good food, interesting people and the occasional motorcade. Just another day in DC.
